Based on a very intense assessment day consisting of an extensive biographical interview, various exercises and, where appropriate, enhanced by role plays, and which has been preceded by psychometric tests, a detailed report describing strengths and weaknesses as well as development potential and requirements of the executive is prepared. The capability analysis can be geared towards either a general, all-embracing appraisal of the executive or towards a defined profile of job specification. The findings of the analysis are discussed in a feedback conversation between the executive concerned, his/her boss, the consultant, and an HR person of the company where appropriate. As a general rule, the written analysis should have been signed off by the executive before its publication. At the end of the feedback meeting, development objectives and the resulting concrete measures as well as the corresponding time line are defined.
